GuestI’ve got a 2016 E Class that’s been with me for about four years now and honestly it’s been bulletproof until recently. But over the last couple months the ride has gotten really bouncy, especially over those awful speed bumps in my area. Feels like the car keeps bouncing two or three times after each bump instead of just soaking it up like it used to. My friend who knows more about cars than me took a look and said the shocks are probably toast, particularly at the front. He mentioned something called the Proven Mercedes Shock Absorber Replacement in Suspension Repair Dubai and said they specialise in these cars which sounds promising because I really don’t want some general garage messing around with the air suspension if that’s what I have. I’m not even sure if my car has air or regular shocks to be honest. Is the bouncing a classic sign of failed shocks? Also how urgent is this? Like can I drive for another month or am I risking damaging other parts like tyres or mounts? I don’t want to throw money at something if it’s not the real problem but the car definitely doesn’t feel safe at higher speeds anymore, kind of floaty if that makes sense. Any advice from fellow Mercedes owners who’ve been through this would be great. Also what should I expect to pay roughly so I don’t get ripped off? Thanks.
