I’ve been thinking about replacing the original suspension on my 2013 A6 because the ride feels quite firm and crashy over our broken roads, and someone mentioned that I could install adaptive dampers from a newer model. The problem is I have no idea if the electronics would work or if it’s even possible to retrofit without spending a fortune. I found a website that had a page for Audi shock replacement, and there was a button to Find Out More, but it didn’t really explain whether adaptive shocks can be added to a car that didn’t come with them from the factory. Has anyone here attempted something like this, or should I just stick with high quality standard shocks? I’m in Abu Dhabi but willing to drive to Dubai if there’s a specialist who can advise on compatibility and coding. Just trying to figure out if the comfort improvement would be worth the headache. Thanks.
